The Chedgrave Bowls Club evolved from The White Horse Bowls Club and whilst its full history is still being researched our Champion of Champions trophy was first won in 1927 and is still played for by members today.
We are a truly inclusive club for adults and juniors of all abilities. The club has an enviable reputation not just for its facilities and relationship with our host The White Horse Chedgrave, but also for its laid-back, no “airs and graces” approach to the sport of bowls.
We are known as a social club that plays bowls, We are a self-help club where the members perform all the work to keep the green and facilities looking good and functioning well and we are eternally grateful to our local business supporters. Their support enables us to keep membership and green fees low, provide the best post match refreshments to members and visitors and in return our membership make every effort to promote the businesses in the local community and beyond.
Club officers, and steering group are voted in annually at the AGM and all full members can vote and/or stand for election.
We are all about the social interaction with existing friends and making new friends through the sport of bowls and the hospitality of the club.
